Prep Time:

Cook Time:

30 minutes

Serving Size:

1-2

Ingredients:

  • 1  small bunch of organic kale, shredded thin

  • 2  organic cucumbers, cut in ½, then ¼’s

  • 1  organic bunch of celery (about 10 stalks), trimmed

  • 1 inch organic ginger, skinned

  • 10  organic sprigs of Italian parsley

  • 1  organic lemon, rind zested, cut in slices – Keep as much white pith as possible. (Save lemon zest for breakfast!) Hint: Meyer Lemons are my favorite!

  • 1  organic green Granny Smith apple, sliced – optional

Note: Always presume all ingredients listed are organic and/or as natural as can be (GMO, hormone and pesticide free).

Note: It's easy to get confused when reading food labels today. To save you research time and frustration, I have linked as often as possible to my favorite brands. These same products and 1000's more can be found HERE. My favorite non-toxic kitchen equipment is also linked below, as well as many more HERE.

Kitchen Tools:

Directions:

  1. Prepare all vegetables and fruits as instructed above & line up on a large cutting board

  2. Put juicer together and start to alternate Cucumbers, Kale and Celery into the juicer

  3. Add in Apple slices, Parsley sprigs (stems in first), then Ginger with some Lemon

  4. Make sure to end with a few slices of Lemon to “clean” the juicer.

  5. Note: If the amount of juice extracted comes close to the top of the container, place a glass jar under the spout and empty the juice into the x-large measuring cup.

  6. Finish the extraction of the fruits and veggies.

  7. Add all the juice together in the measuring container, stir, and then pour into the small glass jars, filling all the way up to the top – leaving no room for air so the nutrients will be preserved for the day.
